I have lines above my lips and what I call marionette lines (vertical creases on each side of the mouth). What is the easiest and best treatment for these?
There are new fillers on the market that we use: Restylane, Radiesse and Prelane. These products are injectable fillers that are used for the exact purpose that you are speaking of: to fill in lines around the lips, eyes and mouth area. Restylane injections will last about 6 months, while Radiesse injections will last about 12 months. These injections can be done in one visit. We will numb the area by either using a topical anesthetic or by using an injectable anesthetic. The fillers themselves are injected by a syringe through a needle into the areas that you would like enhanced. If you are also looking to enhance your lips, the only product that can be directly injected into the lips themselves would be Restylane.
