Dr. Stephen Bayne

I have been considering having what is known as a Lifestyle Lift. This is supposed to be a safer surgical solution to the "jowls and lines" of the 50+ face. What is your opinion of this procedure? Is it safer? Or is that just hype?

Dr. Stephen Bayne, plastic surgeon on our Expert Panel, does not perform Lifestyle Facelifts. Thus, he didn't feel he was sufficiently qualified to address a question on this topic. Dr. Harrison Putman, III, does perform this procedure and here are the comments from his office:

The Lifestyle Lift can be described as a limited facelift for the mid-face and jowl area. It does help with the neck area but, in some cases, there may need to be additional procedures - such as liposuction - if there is excess fat in the area.

The Lifestyle Lift Center does require a consultation prior to any procedure. This consultation is free and is needed to determine if someone is a good candidate for the procedure. Consultations are scheduled through their phone center at 800-941-9905.
