Michael Breus, Ph.D., ABSM - Diplomate of the American
Board of Sleep Medicine
Known
nationally as “ The Sleep Doctor," Dr.
Michael Breus specializes in helping people overcome what he calls “disordered
sleep” – the short or long term sleep problems that affect
most people at some point in time.
Dr. Breus has given more than 200 presentations to professionals and
the public on sleep disorders. He recently taped an Oprah episode about
sleep and women’s health and has been interviewed by numerous national
publications including Readers Digest, Time Magazine and The New York
Times. Featured on local and national television programs such as The
View, The Today Show and The Early Show, Dr. Breus is the “Sleep
Expert” on WebMD. Along with numerous published articles in professional
trade journals, he recently authored a book - Good Night: The Sleep Doctor’s
4 Week Program to Better Sleep and Better Health.
Dr. Breus is dedicated to raising the awareness of sleep disorders
to both the public and health care community and to developing innovative
education and communication programs for their assessment and treatment.

With a master’s and doctorate degree from the University of George,
Dr. Breus completed his internship at the University of Mississippi Medical
Center in Jackson with a specialty in sleep disorders and neuropsychological
testing. He is board-certified in both clinical psychology and clinical
sleep disorders.
